It’s been a tough time for actors and creatives. We’ve been lucky enough to be back in the room (in our case, the stage of Etcetera theatre), in a Covid-safe environment, and we wanted to share this experience.

This is a 14hr screen acting workshop, normally priced at £175.

About the workshop:

When: October: Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th, 10am – 5:30pm (14 hours of contact time)

Where: Etcetera Theatre, Camden

Price: £175

Course includes:

  • Script study and analysis – Practical Aesthetics
  • Camera technique (hitting marks, camera awareness etc)
  • Cold reads & audition practice
  • CV and Marketing material group analysis 

What you will get:

  • You will work on a minimum of 5 scripts
  • You will be sent all your takes from the weekend
  • At the end of the second day we will shoot a scene with camera, lights and shotgun mic – you will receive a copy of the wide and singles to use for your showreel material (happy to arrange the edit for an extra fee)

American Accents Workshop 29/02

About Amanda Blake

Amanda is an American actress and has been based in London since 2016, where she began studying Mamet technique with Lee. She credits learning the technique with increasing her success in auditions and changing her perspective on what it means to “be an actor”. She has an extensive background in American repertory theatre, television and commercials, and has been seen most recently in London on stage as Allison in Orisun Productions “Spring Board”, and in Avenue 5, a new comedy on HBO (pre-production). Amanda has been teaching with 1956 since January 2019.
